GAIA – Volunteer Civil Protection West Mani (“GAIA”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect when you visit gaia-manis.com, why, and what rights you have.

1. Who we are

GAIA is a volunteer civil protection association registered with the General Secretariat of Civil Protection under No. 0132-00-25, based in Agios Nikolaos, West Mani, Greece.

2. What data we collect

Server log data: Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records technical information (IP address, browser type, pages visited, date/time) for security and site operation. This is standard server behaviour, not active tracking by GAIA.

Fonts: This site may load fonts via Google Fonts. If loaded externally (rather than hosted on our own server), your browser connects to Google’s servers, which may transmit your IP address to Google. We are working to serve all fonts locally to remove this dependency; until then, this connection may occur on every page load.

Cookies: We use a cookie consent tool to manage any cookies that require your permission. You can review and change your choices at any time via the cookie settings link in the footer.

Analytics (currently not active): We may activate a website analytics tool (such as Google Analytics) in the future to understand how visitors use the site. If and when this happens, it will only run after you give consent via our cookie banner, and this policy will be updated with full details of what is collected.

Contact: If you email us directly, we process your email address and message content only to respond to you.

Donations: Donations are made via direct bank transfer (Piraeus Bank). We do not collect or store any payment card data – your bank handles that transaction under its own privacy policy.

3. Legal basis for processing

We process data based on legitimate interest (secure site operation), your consent (cookies, analytics if activated), and, where applicable, to respond to your communications.

4. Third-party links

Our site links to our social media pages (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube) and partner organisations. These are outbound links only – we do not embed their content or share your data with them. Visiting those sites is governed by their own privacy policies.

5. Data retention

Server logs are retained only as long as necessary for security purposes. Email correspondence is kept as long as reasonably needed to address your enquiry.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the data we hold about you, to object to processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at gaia.d.manis@gmail.com.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (Αρχή Προστασίας Δεδομένων Προσωπικού Χαρακτήρα) at www.dpa.gr.

7. Children’s privacy

This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

We may update this policy as our site or practices change. The “last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision.

1. Ποιοι είμαστε

2. Ποια δεδομένα συλλέγουμε

Δεδομένα καταγραφής διακομιστή: Όπως οι περισσότερες ιστοσελίδες, ο πάροχος φιλοξενίας μας καταγράφει αυτόματα τεχνικές πληροφορίες (διεύθυνση IP, τύπο browser, σελίδες που επισκεφθήκατε, ημερομηνία/ώρα) για λόγους ασφάλειας και λειτουργίας.

Γραμματοσειρές: Η ιστοσελίδα ενδέχεται να φορτώνει γραμματοσειρές μέσω Google Fonts. Εάν φορτώνονται εξωτερικά, ο browser σας συνδέεται με διακομιστές της Google, οι οποίοι ενδέχεται να λάβουν τη διεύθυνση IP σας. Εργαζόμαστε ώστε όλες οι γραμματοσειρές να φιλοξενούνται τοπικά.

Cookies: Χρησιμοποιούμε εργαλείο συναίνεσης cookies για τη διαχείριση των cookies που απαιτούν την άδειά σας. Μπορείτε να αναθεωρήσετε τις επιλογές σας ανά πάσα στιγμή μέσω του συνδέσμου ρυθμίσεων cookies στο footer.

Analytics (προς το παρόν ανενεργό): Ενδέχεται να ενεργοποιήσουμε στο μέλλον εργαλείο ανάλυσης επισκεψιμότητας (π.χ. Google Analytics). Εάν συμβεί αυτό, θα λειτουργεί μόνο μετά από τη συναίνεσή σας μέσω του banner cookies, και η παρούσα πολιτική θα ενημερωθεί αναλόγως.

Δωρεές: Οι δωρεές γίνονται μέσω τραπεζικού εμβάσματος (Τράπεζα Πειραιώς). Δεν συλλέγουμε ούτε αποθηκεύουμε δεδομένα κάρτας πληρωμής.

3. Νομική βάση επεξεργασίας

Επεξεργαζόμαστε δεδομένα βάσει έννομου συμφέροντος (ασφαλής λειτουργία ιστοσελίδας), συναίνεσής σας (cookies, analytics εφόσον ενεργοποιηθούν), και όπου απαιτείται, για απάντηση στην επικοινωνία σας.

4. Σύνδεσμοι τρίτων

Η ιστοσελίδα μας συνδέεται με τις σελίδες μας σε social media και συνεργαζόμενους φορείς. Πρόκειται μόνο για εξωτερικούς συνδέσμους – δεν ενσωματώνουμε περιεχόμενό τους ούτε μοιραζόμαστε δεδομένα σας μαζί τους.

5. Διατήρηση δεδομένων

Τα logs διακομιστή διατηρούνται μόνο όσο απαιτείται για λόγους ασφάλειας. Η αλληλογραφία email διατηρείται όσο εύλογα απαιτείται.

6. Τα δικαιώματά σας

Server-Log-Daten: Wie die meisten Websites zeichnet unser Hosting-Anbieter automatisch technische Informationen auf (IP-Adresse, Browsertyp, besuchte Seiten, Datum/Uhrzeit) – zu Sicherheits- und Betriebszwecken.

Schriftarten: Diese Website lädt Schriftarten ggf. über Google Fonts. Werden diese extern geladen, verbindet sich Ihr Browser mit Google-Servern, wobei Ihre IP-Adresse an Google übertragen werden kann. Wir arbeiten daran, alle Schriftarten lokal zu hosten, um diese Abhängigkeit zu entfernen.

Cookies: Wir verwenden ein Cookie-Consent-Tool zur Verwaltung zustimmungspflichtiger Cookies. Sie können Ihre Auswahl jederzeit über den Cookie-Einstellungen-Link im Footer ändern.
